Alternative Counselling Packages
We offer three different Counselling Packages for those preferring a service that does not require them to be able to engage with the therapist face to face. These styles of counselling are also suitable for those new to counselling and not yet ready to consult a counsellor in person, those unable to easily reach a counsellor due to geographical position or those UK citizens normally living in a non-English-speaking area. (Importantly, please note that for insurance purposes only UK citizens who are able to make the initial contact while in the UK can use this service) While your full details will be needed initially for payments, we can use a name of your choice afterwards to maintain security and privacy for you.
Internet Counselling
Our Internet Counselling service allows you to submit your concerns to us via the internet, either as a one off discussion or as an ongoing dialogue. Your dedicated counsellor undertakes to reply within a specified period - usually forty-eight hours. Please go to E-Mail a Counsellor page on this website for full details. For security reasons we do not use standard email. Instead, we use a system similar to that used for internet banking where you choose your own password. So, unlike your email where you may already have shared your password with others, only you know the password to access our replies. You can even change your password for subsequent submissions.
Telephone Counselling
Telephone counselling is provided on an appointment basis. Following first contact an appointment is made for your counsellor to phone you at a specified time for counselling. Again, this may be a single session, or more usually counselling will continue on an ongoing basis at regular intervals. Counselling By Post
Counselling by post (snail-mail) allows those who are less confident on the internet to receive counselling by post. Your submission will usually be dealt with within forty-eight hours and a personal reply from your dedicated counsellor will be forwarded first class under plain cover. This usually allows you to enjoy the benefits of regular weekly sessions by turn around of post. We can use any pseudonym you require for our replies, provided you are sure the letter will reach you, or you may choose to use a friend's address. Local Bespoke Service
We can also offer a bespoke service for individuals and organisations where, while residing within travelling distance of our consulting rooms in rural Shropshire, counselling in a venue local to the client is required.
Privacy
No information about you or any other person will be shared commercially with any other person. We will not forward unsolicited mail, e.mail or text to you.
